Bob Alexander Memorial Scholarship Award

Purpose
To reward an outstanding student of a member institution of Region 15 who has shown exemplary performance in College Union or Student Activities work on the individual's campus.


Who May Apply
Any regularly enrolled (9 units) student of a member institution in Region 15 who has a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

How to Nominate Someone
Complete the nomination form below to nominate a colleague; self-nominations are encour-
aged as well. Email the completed nomination form to Jeremy Hamlett, Regional Director at
jeremy.hamlett@csun.edu by Friday, October 30, 2009 at 5pm OR deliver the form to Jeremy
Hamlett onsite at the conference by lunch on Friday, November 6.

Selection Process
The Region 15 Regional Director shall appoint a group of three students and two institutional staff members to review applications. The selection committee shall be a representative cross selection of the Regional membership and shall remain anonymous. The selection group shall recommend their choice for the award of the scholarship to the Regional Executive Committee. The individual selected to receive the award will be named at the Annual Regional Conference.

Award
The scholarship will be applied directly toward the registration airfare and lodging costs for any one ACUI regional or internationally sponsored educational activity not to exceed $500. In order to receive the award, the recipient must complete an application to attend the educational event and have it accepted by the listed deadlines.
