Major: Criminal Justice, Spanish and a minor in Italian

I went to my very first regional conference this past year. On the second day of the conference I was able to witness the excitement and dedication that the people organizing it, felt. There excitement was so contagious that I felt very lucky and excited to be in this conference. Throughout that second day I went to different workshops were I met a lot of wonderful people and learned so much about other schools and about different skills that would help me become a better leader. That day was truly a life changing experience for me. After that day decided that I wanted to be part of the RLT because I wanted to be part of something that could help some one else. I also saw it as a great opportunity to get involved with other schools and be able to network with in the region and potentially outside of the region. Finally, I also joined the RLT because I would be able to further develop my leadership skills. I am very excited to be part of the Regional Leadership Team. I hope to see you all in the next conference.

2nd major: Spanish

I joined the Regional Leadership team because I felt it was a great opportunity to get hands on experience with leading a diverse group. Joining the RLT has also given me the opportunity to share my familiarity about leadership with other new and established student leaders. It has also given me the chance to take the breadth of knowledge that I portray by putting it to work by setting goals for the upcoming year with ACUI Region 15 and taking action. I feel that being a leader is not just about being a student leader, but about being well a versed and well-rounded leader. So, while I put my leadership skills to work at Cal State Fullerton I also take pride in volunteering for a few non-profit organizations. I currently volunteer year around for the National Multiple Scoliosis Society, Alzheimer’s Association and for the Combined Federal Contributions. Aside from always taking the leadership role, I love to be in front of the camera, as you can see with my major of Broadcast Journalism. Being in front of the camera for me is like floating on cloud 9, it’s unbelievable. Along with having the spotlight shine in my face I love to write poems, which is a way for me to express my feelings and inner thoughts. The last two hobbies that I really take pride in is running (track and field) and modeling. With the completion of my college degree I hope to attend Graduate School possibly in New York or California. After the completion of my Masters degree I eventually wish to open up a business of my own and anchor for a high profile news station. So as you can see I am just an average college student with many accomplished goals to come.
